Presentation Descriptions

Opening Plenary

Presented by Dr. Catherine Norton, University of Limerick

Learn more about the Limerick Framework for Action and how it brings the Okanagan Charter to life on campus. Participants will gain a clear, high‑level understanding of the Framework’s purpose, evolution, and guiding principles, and explore how it supports whole‑campus approaches to health, well‑being, and sustainability. The session also helps attendees identify practical steps to assess their institution’s readiness to become a health‑promoting campus and embed these commitments across policies, practices, and campus culture.

Implementing the Limerick Framework Quick Start Roadmap Panel

Presented by Alexis Travis, Michigan State University; Alic Czachowski, Columbia University; Anne Laurita, Princeton University; Ashley Netanel, Swarthmore College; Emily Tuschhoff, University of Idaho; Jane Bogart, Columbia University Medical Center; & Joe Zichi, University of Michigan – Ann Arbor; Kristin Traske, Michigan State University, Marie Cascarano, Montclair State University; Melissa Zarin, Montclair State University; and Sheena Burgreen, University of North Alabama

This panel highlights how campuses are advancing steps 2–5 of the Quick Start Roadmap Checklist within the Limerick Framework for Action. Speakers will share practical strategies they have used to build partnerships, localize the Framework to their context, embed health and well‑being into policy, and activate culture and leadership to drive momentum. Participants will gain clear examples of how these approaches have worked on campuses across the U.S., as well as insight into how the same steps can be adapted to strengthen their own efforts at their own institutions.

Closing PlenaryMeasuring What Matters: Well-being Indicators for Health-Promoting Campuses

Presented by Simran Bhatia, Emory University

How do we know if our work is making a difference and how do we sustain momentum? This session will help participants define meaningful indicators of well-being across people, places, and the planet. Attendees will explore practical strategies for reporting progress and celebrating achievements, while identifying ways to maintain energy and engagement to advance health-promoting campus efforts on their own campuses.
